On tap from the brewery. Review from Dec. 2011 notes.
A - Golden, clear, fluffy white head, great lacing and an evident hop oil film on top.
S - Lots of grapefruit, tangerine, pine bark, toasted bread.
T - Satisfyingly bitter, citrus/lemon overtones, caramel sweetness and malt as a backbone against the hops. A tad hop forward. Some diacetyl/DMS in the finish - a seeming fault with many beers here.
M - Semi-dry, thin, and highly carbonated. Somewhat oily. I could use more in the way of mouthfeel.
O - Quite possibly the best beer from Buckbean. It isn't a Pliny killer, but it's drinkable and that's a step in the right direction.
