a simple but tasty lager here, possibly unique to the denver location, who has been doing a really good job with the beers. this has a floral hop complexion, a high shine golden hue, and a lot of drinkability, a little more interesting than the kolsch they had, and more modern and interesting than the classic german style pils, but they did have a lot of golden light beers working when we were in. great clarity on this one, creamy white head with some lace left behind after each sip. the hops seem new school to me, not overly hoppy or anything, but with the grain being so light and the yeast basically flavorless, the hops are really what stands out here, even though i wouldnt call this overly hoppy or anything. subtle fleshy fresh flowers and some botanical bitterness there as well, pineapple and melon too, but not really the classic southern hemisphere fruitiness either. some obvious minerality here too, crisp and clean, bright to me, sometimes less really is more, especially in this style, and that is surely the case here. drinkable and easy, but not too watery or anything, the texture is great. definitely a pint beer here, fresh and well made.
