Beer #250... not a special beer, but at least I'm adding one to the database. Unfiltered and unpasteurized 12 oz. with a plain red label from a mixed six-pack (I would like to state for the record that the brewery didn't capitalize any of the words in the name). It pours a hazy peach/cider color with fairly active carbonation and a half-inch head of small bubbles that try to lace the glass but merely cling to the side as I drink. It smells of juicy apples that are slightly sour - almost like a cider - and tastes like green apples with a background of sweet malts and hints of alcohol. It is light and tingly on the palate, with champagne-like carbonation and a dry mouthfeel. Kinda reminds me of Éphémère but the malts aren't quite as tasty. And I'm not sure of the ABV but it tastes (and feels) like it's packin' some heat. Still good though, and a nice change of pace. (P.S. - Looking at reviews for their other beers, it seems very similar to Dr. Dremo's Apple Beer, but there is no mention of Dr. Dremo on the bottle. Maybe it's the same recipe, who knows?)
