Two Beers' latest Sun Chaser IPA is brewed with hibiscus blossoms, citra and columbus hops, and orange peel. 22oz bottle served in a curved glass. It is noticeably pink and has a color unlike anything, save for a hibiscus cocktail. Mostly clear, which makes for a pretty, if un-beer-like, appearance, though I think I spot a few bits of particulate matter. Pink foam, too. Aroma is floral and fruity, with more hibiscus in the nose.

Flavor is initially very delicate, with citrus and hibiscus pollen on the tip of the tongue. But quickly following that is a waxy, bitter flavor through the center of the palate: orange pith and other plant matter. Like chewing on dried flowers. Where a fraction of a second ago I had such high hopes for this beer, now I'm wishing it was either hoppier or sweeter. Candied citrus peel comes around again in the finish, bringing back some of that much needed sweetness. Unfortunately I think the Citra hops really got lost on this one. I might want to revisit this because I'm so conflicted as to whether this is just too non-traditional for me or if I might really like it another time.
