This beer was brewed for the first anniversary of Elizabeth Station, a beer store in Bellingham, WA. The store is within Walking Distance of a lot of Bham, hence the name. Served in straight pint glass. Poured a hazy yellow color with about1/2 inch of white head that had good retention and lacing.
The aroma was that of a solid example of the style, nice earthy malts, a bit of Rye, and some sharp, crisp hops, citrus and floral mostly. The flavor profile was pretty much the same, solid base malts, a bit of Rye sharpness, and good contrasting hops. The body was smooth and even, with a clean, semi-dry finish. Drinkability was good, I'm hoping to get a few pints while it's on tap at ES. Overall, a nice, solid example of the style. Certainly worth having a pint or buying a bottle if you see it. Congrats ES and Two Beers!
