March 2009: 330 ml clear bottle, bought at ICA Middelthon, Stavanger. ABV is 0,0%. Pale golden colour, big white head. Moderate carbonation in the glass. First a fresh "skunky" whiff, then the usual n/a beer aroma of over-boiled vegetables, maize grit and baby porridge. The mouthfeel is watery and soft, the flavour is fairly dry with a hint of citrus, moderate and slightly metallic hops in the finish. Not completely undrinkable.

(330 ml clear bottle, no date/code; purchased single off shelf... poured into a 14 oz mug)
L: brilliantly-clear, glowing gold liquid; fleeting white foam on the pour, soon leaving only a thin collar, no lace
S: subtle hints of skunk, sweat... typical NA doughy bread crust-forward aromas... moderate intensity
T: bit of an apple-y or champagne tone up front, neutral crackery middle, latent biting herbal, apple skin bitterness... herbal, grassy bitterness blaring up the middle is the most dominant taste, while increasingly cereal, grainy malts filling out the flavors around the perimeters
F: light-bodied with a mild tart (acetaldehyde?) bite; robust charge of carbonation results in delayed burps... the bitterness really adds an alarming stun on the tongue, almost a peppery heat
O: outside of the odd apple bite, pretty standard Euro lager-style NA... not worth a revisit (1953)

Poured from 330mL clear bottle into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: light golden hue with a totally clear body and a thin layer of foam that disappears pretty quickly. Color is nice, but there's not too much to the head at all.
Smell: sweet malt aroma with a dash of graininess, pretty much the standard for a continental European lager. There's a hint of skunkiness, probably due to the clear bottle, but it's not overpowering.
Taste: a bit grainy and a bit on the dry side, which works here. It's a very light-tasting beer indeed, but from the flavor alone you might not guess non-alcoholic.
Mouthfeel: very light, with a little bit of carbonation. While I like the dryness in the flavor, it means there's not much there for body.
Overall: this is a perfectly cromulent NA beverage. I could see it being good with a meal or on the beach.

Pours clear, straw yellow in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is straw and flowers. Light bodied, slightly sweet with moderate high carbonation. Old school N.A beer. Cleaner and more tasty than others like it. Not the first na beer I would reach for, but one I could easily finish six of.
