Pours a beautiful dark gold colour with a nice finger size head on top. Bitter and dank on the smell. As far as the taste goes, it’s definitely a hop bomb. Hops here there and everywhere. Very bitter. Smooth and velvetty going down. One of these at a time

I bought a can at the LCBO in Ontario 473ml at 6.8%.
Poured a 2finger head into glass .
Smooth creamy and spicy with lots of tropical fruit flavors.
Nice Golden reddish color leaving a lace as you drink it.
A good high bitterness
Overall a good strong and spicy IPA with lots of tropical flavors.
Cheers

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Oct 1 2021 and served slightly chilled. Their Double Dead Elephant typically shows up around this time of year, but I don't see it listed on their website anymore, so maybe this is supposed to be its replacement?

Pours a clear golden-amber colour, producing more than a finger of foamy, frothy white head that fades within three or four minutes' time. A modest collar of suds is left in its wake, along with a few splashes of sticky lace - looks fine. There's a lot going on with the nose, such that it all sort of blends together into a fruity, hoppy mélange - there's grapefruit, passion fruit, orange and strawberry, with hints of melon, stone fruit, and spicy, floral, slightly earthy hops, as well as some caramelized notes.

Real bitter - this one is like a kick in the pants for your taste buds if they've become accustomed to lower IBU hazy IPAs. Hints of bready malts, with grapefruit juice and melon coming through with force at the forefront. Lightly caramelized malts by mid-sip, with passion fruit, lemon zest and peppery, floral, earthy hops and resiny bitterness coming to dominate the tail end of the sip. Resiny bitterness and citrus pithiness carry on into a mildly warming aftertaste; an herbal licorice-like note persists beyond. Medium in body, with average carbonation that feels a little prickly on the tongue; a little stronger than most IPAs, but drinkable nonetheless.

Final Grade: 3.75, squeaking out a B+. Jumbo is an aptly named IPA - weighing in at just under 7%, with an intensely bitter hop profile, this is a beer made for the hopheads, and only the hopheads. It's big, brash, bold, and should probably be treated as a DIPA in all but name only - I really enjoyed the hop profile, which runs the gamut from citrusy, to berry and stone fruit-like, to spicy, to brutally bitter. I have no idea if this is based on their DDE recipe or not, but it strikes me as an improvement - I'd recommend it to any BA looking for something strong and hop-forward.
