500ml bottle from the brewery. Pours a glowing and hazed amber orange with copper edges, a thick ring of beige head, and dots of lacing on the nonic. Smell is perfume, orange peel, citrus, light yeastiness, touch of alcohol, gala apples, and bready malts. Flavour is caramel and pale malts, brown sugar, spicy and fruity English hops, noticeable bitterness with a slightly tart apple cider aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thinner than medium, juicy, firm spiciness on the tongue, bitter astringency precedes a dry, acidic finish. This drinkable and refreshing amber ale is the third best beer I've had from Railway City, next to the Dead Elephant and Blonde. A welcomed twist on the Harvest Ale theme.

Growler direct and fresh from the brewery. A deep copper pour has ruby hues, with a frothy and long lived eggshell cap. Inviting nose of perfume, orange peel, floral hops and bready malts. Sweet and malty flavour profile with light bitterness. The apple comes through in the finish mostly. Medium body, creamy carbonation, with a fruity(apple) finish. A good effort even if the apples aren't all that dominant.

Had this on tap at C'est What. Pours a deep orange colour with a finger of white head. Almost no lacing. Very mild hop aroma, with some sweet caramel. Not quite enough bitterness for the style. Good carbonation level. I like the trend of harvest ales in Ontario this year.
