When I visited: this past summer with my wife and son, on our family vacation to Prince Edward Island (Levis was the half-way stop)
What I had:
Corsaire Kirke Session Bitter (can)
Corsaire Bristol Extra Special Bitter (draft)
Corsaire Lévisienne English IPA (draft)
Dinner and appetizers, white wine for my wife
Overall impression:
A solid option if you find yourself in Levis or Quebec City. The mostly English-style beers were good, food was tasty, and the service was competent. I liked that they had a kid's menu, even though we were the only family in the place. Also got some decent beers to go. I will come back if I'm in the area again.

I've found a more relaxing way to experience Québec is to park your car at Lévis (cheaper), take the ferry by foot and walk the city. The bar is right next to the parking, so it's very well located. You get to see an awesome view of Québec city on the terrace. The place is huge and high ceiling, mostly wood and pirate related decors, with church benches as a special touch. There's also a bar directly at the brewery in the industrial zone, also with a wooden style but simpler, banquet style room with a very long table. Service is decent. Both around 10 taps, mostly already available in cans, though some not. Didn't have time to taste much, but overall I find the quality pretty good. The pub seems to have good local food. At the brewery there's lots of beer related food, like the rare pretzels.

This place is physically described well by other reviewers.
I want to remark about how well this place was run by two women who were working there this past Friday afternoon.Service was quick , helpful and very friendly despite the fact that they were very busy.
The beers were pretty good, especially the pale ale with sage.
Wit with ginger OK.
Although the food was limited, we had two of the sausage pizzas; one sausage made with blueberries and one made with Cognac...pretty good.
Worth a ferry ride from Quebec for a few beers.

I,ve been there on a friday night, late january.
It is a big room, very high roof, lots of space,
baby foot table and pool. The atmosphere was alright, they were playing hard rock classic, maybe because the place was a bit empty and quiet. But, my friend who go there every now and then said its usually crowded with students and the atmosphere is good.
I tasted the amber and the stout. and my friend had a wheitbeer wich was alright, the amber, an EBS, was not special at all and dissapointed me, and finally the stout was really good, So, overall, the quality of the brew is good.
They also serve about 10 beers on tap, i think 6 of them were regular products and 4 were special brews.
I saw the traditionnal pub food like nachos going on, I guess they stick to that kind of food.
They sell the pint 6$ wich is the average price in a brewpub nowaday.
Special mention the bocks wich give that Pirate vibe in the place. Im not sure if they only have glass like that. I bet they serve the right beer in their proper glass, for the scotch ale for exemple.
All in ALL, a nice place to go, enjoy the view of the awesome looking Vieux-Québec on the other side.

A friend of mine comes from Lévis and told me about this place while I was visiting Québec city this weekend.
You have to take the ferry to get there from Québec so thats pretty nice, it costs 2.50 one way and gets you in the whole Pirate atmosphere (not really). The brewery is just at the end of the ferry's parking lot
Its quite a big place, you'll find baby foot and pool tables. You also have a view on all the brewing equipment.
They have about 4-5 regulars on tap and sometimes they will serve one of them in cask.
Plus they have about 4 seasonals pretty much around English types of beer (ESB, Stouts, Porters, Pale Ales) and Belgian beers (Abbey style, White brews with fruit, ScotchAle)
They serve the beer in tasting glasses so you easily can taste everything.
I loved the Davy Jones stout and the Scotch Ale was nicely peated and good as well
The single Malt selection is very complete !
I ate a smoked salmon pizza...and it was ok... But the menu is pretty basic: Pizzas, Nachos, Hot-dogs... your regular beer place crap.
One of the two owners was there and she was very happy to answer to all our questions. They are really proud of the place and you can feel it.
If your in Québec for beer visit le Corsaire
Cheers Lads

Lévis is kinda like what New Jersey is to Manhattan. For the most part it's a sleeper colony across the river, but its' slowly developing a scene. A big piece of that is Le Corsaire, set in a picturesque location a few hundred feet from the ferry, right by the water. The view of old Québec is lovely.
Corsaire is in a large building complex they seem to share with office buildings, if the pirate sign wasn't over the door I could have missed it. Décor is a bit hit or miss to me. The actual layout of the pub is very nice, with the brewery setup to your left as you walk in, to the right is an elevated seating area with huge windows, in front of you is the bar that had a few tables near the door to the patio, and to the back you had a pair of foozball tables and a pinball machine, and a small upstairs section with one of those plastic dart machines and a few board games. All good things in my book. A bit of artwork was a nice touch, however what turned me was the corny tin signs like 'Beer: Helping ugly people have sex since 1873'. It's all well and good for a basement recroom or a cheezy sportsbar, it really spoiled the looks of the place.
Ambiance was a little strange, we walked in a high school reunion so everybody was giving us the 'who the F are they?' look. That wasn't much of an issue, but probably at their request dance music was blaring at intolerable levels, although no one was dancing. We would have stuck around for at least an extra Beer if it weren't for that.
Service was quick at the bar, with a 3-man team manning the taps. 8 or 9 brews were displayed on the blackboards, most of English inspiration (ESB, Stout, Bitter), an entry-level blonde (I think it was a pils) and a pair of wheatbeers. My fiancé tried the lavender wheat which was well done, if a bit cloying and strongly perfumed. The sister-in-law tried the brown ale which wasn't bad. My pale ale was the most dissapointing of the bunch, not hoppy or malty enough for my taste. However, my second selection, a session bitter, went down wickedly well. I noticed the handpump, and was told by our waiter that a cask ale is put on every weekend, unfortunately it was the favorite of some heavy drinkers from the night before and they drank it all.
Didn't try the food, which had a basic assortment of Nachos, large pretzels and other snacks.
I'd recommend anyone visiting Québec to hop on the ferry to check this place out, as the downtown/old quarter is pretty slim on the brewpub level. Compared to the uber-expensive Beers I had on the other side of the river (9.50$ pints? Yee Gods!), value is good, even with the price of the ferry. Apparently they got themselves a canning system and will offer some of their Beers in cans, which is a great idea and I think a first for Québec micros.

This place is strategically placed across from Old Quebec on the Levis side right by the Ferry making it a perfect spot to check out whether coming from Old Quebec or going to it (Where another nice microbrewery, L'Inox, is located). There you'll find 9 selections of Le Corsaire's own beers on tap ranging from a white to a stout and everything in between. The atmosphere is peaceful with some music playing in the background and the black ceilings coupled with wood trims and cherry wood seats make it feel modern yet cozy.
I tried the white, the Pils, and a Porter. All 3 came with a beautiful head and weren't bitter at all. The white wasn't spectacular but it's hint of ginger aftertaste made it unique in its own right. The Pils was solid and comparable to your favorite German Pilsner and the Porter had lace all the way down the glass from start to finish and had strong hints of cocoa and coffee...quite delicious. I had a glass of each at only $3.25 each (Pints are also available) easily making this place the highest value for your buck when you consider a week earlier I paid $4.50 for a Molson Dry in a bottle in Quebec!
To conclude if ever in Levis or Old Quebec where a round-trip ferry ride to and from Levis is only $5 or so I highly recommend checking out this microbrewery. When exiting the Ferry terminal it's roughly two buildings to the right! Like I mentioned before L'Inox in Quebec is also reachable if you're interested in quite a long walk or taking a taxi from the ferry in Old Quebec to L'Inox is also a worthy option.
