As the name implies pours Amber in color with a white head and some lacing. Good malty flavor with no hop bitterness. As smooth as a beer can be easily a session beer.

I had the Franconia Amber on tap at the Gaylord. It was one of 8 local beers they offered in their sports bar.
Served in a pint, the beer is a chill hazed Amber with just a whisper of beige lace.
The beer has a faint aroma of caramel and crackers.
The taste is very earthy which surprised me. It is slightly sweet but I wonder if this beer is old and past it's prime. The earthy taste is very strong and there is a hint of brown sugar in the backend. It is off putting and kept me from finishing the beer. The off tastes were not that dirty tap line funk, so it must have been the beer itself.
The mouth is medium.
I would sample this again to see if my pint was just and old and stale.

Really disappointing amber. I like Franconia beers. This is a 12 oz bottle. Taste is just off

bought this one after visiting the brewery in person a few weeks back:
a no too nice - barely any head at all and no lacing.
dark amber with a hint or reddish color - hi clarity
s sweet toasty maltiness but a tinge of metallic
t NICE on the palate - malty backbone with just a TOUCH of hops way in the back
M - nice low carbonation
d OK for guzzling

Appearance:
Dark amber color, clear. Tons of carbonation streaming. Thick frothy head.
Aroma:
Toasted malts, sweetness, some spicy hops.
Taste/Finish/Body:
Bready, toasted malts, caramel, bread crust. Spicy hops towards the end. Finish is mostly dry. Medium bodied, smooth, semi-crisp, easy drinking.
Overall:
It's a very good beer.
