Served on-draught into a zerodegrees half pint glass at Zerodegrees in Cardiff. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a one finger head of soft cream lacing, fair thickness, and average (~2 minute) retention. Colour is a cloud light lemon yellow.
Sm: Light lemon, a touch of orange, and another ester I'm asserting is Elderflower. Forgive me for having no idea what Elderflower smells like. A rather light strength scent.
T: Elderflower, light lemon, and clean barley. Quite lovely. It's meant as a refreshing summer seasonal, and it delivers. It's simple because it has to be, and very refreshing. The finish is lackluster however, throwing off the structural balance - though the flavour balance is on the money. Built well for its aims.
Mf: Smooth, wet, and a touch tingly on the climax. I wish it had more of a creamy smack-your-lips feel, but it's a bit too restrained.
Dr: A bit pricier than Zerodegrees' other offerings, but well worth it for the quality. Even the missus will likely enjoy this brew. I'd certainly have it again.
