On-tap at Three Cellars, Franklin, WI:
Pours deep orange-tinted copper with a little head that soon disappears.
The smell is of whiskey with pumpkin pie spices.
The taste follows the nose. At times the rye whiskey almost overshadows the pumpkin pie spices. It has a firm malt backbone. It his full-bodied. It is boozy, but pretty smooth for the high abv.
A well-done pumpkin ale aged in Templeton Rye barrels. Enjoyable!

This is a higher alcohol version of Potosi's pumpkin ale Stingy Jack, aged in Templeton Rye Whiskey barrels. The whiskey influence really comes through in both the aroma and taste. Definitely boozy and quite sweet. An excellent spin on a pumpkin ale!
