Pitch black with a huge off-white head.
Interesting smell, it's between a Black IPA and a Saison, you get dark chocolate, hops and yeast aromas.
In the mouth though it mostly tastes like an american Stout, lots of chocolate and malt sweetness. A little bit of a saison side comes from the yeast but it's too much hidden behind the "black flavors".
Nice mouth feel nonetheless.
Not bad for a Stout but the Farmhouse side is not enough developed.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color ale with a large brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light tart notes and chocolate notes. Taste is also dominated by dry roasted malt notes with bitter black chocolate notes offset by some light tart notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad but I am not sure I enjoy the mix of saison and stout that much.
