"Édition 2014"
A:
Pours a cloudy straw-white with a massive, micro-bubbled head of creamy white foam that never settles below a half finger if maintained. Good retention; thick, sweeping lacing. (4.25)
S:
Sweet yeast esters and citrus. Floral, tartness underneath, some rustic hop aromas, basil, white pepper, mango. (3.75)
T:
Fresh, bready, and slightly tart. Sweet and dry-feeling, mango, bread, pepper, some earthy hops, and a slightly bitter finish. (3.75)
M:
Dry and bubbly, champagne-like carbonation, medium body, short finish. (3.75)
O:
This was a very good beer.
Tasty, drinkable, nothing 'pops'.
I picked this one up (2014 edition) because I tend to like the saisons that these guys make. It was neither the saisoniest nor hoppiest beer, but it was by no means bad in my opinion.
Looks positively lovely in the glass. The smell and taste both are pretty peppery and have some earthiness from the hops, but neither of these characteristics was particularly overblown. Not a bad beer at all. It is kind of understated in almost every way, but it is a solid, well-made beer. Would probably be approachable to somebody just getting into beer as well.
Based on reading previous reviews, it makes me wonder if they finally got their act together this year and made something a little more 'together'? I would be curious to let one get a little older to see if the tartness in the nose and (kind of) the flavor came out a little more.
Would try again; worth a shot if you see it. (3.75)

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy bright amber color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light hoppy notes with a medium sweet malt base. Taste is a not has hoppy as expected (though bottle is a bit old) with nice dry caramel malt notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Easily drinkable overall with limited complexity.

First tasted on September 29 , 2010.
Beer notes says: Beer color is copper and it is hazy too. Slightly orange in the color of this beer. The head is thin and disappear quickly. The aroma is light. I'm not getting a lot of stuff here and I was expecting major hops presence. I'm disappointed. The only thing I get is grass. On the taste side, I get again grass. It really taste like grass. Not very intense however so I can manage to drink the full bottle. The taste is surprising and I'm not sure I like it at first. Grassy and Dry in the mouth... Not very pleasant but not too off-putting too. It goes down quite rapidly however, the taste is not great to make it a very drinkable beer. Lots of carbonation in the mouth as it is always the case with this brewery.
This beer needs some work...
Tried another bottle on October 16, 2010. This one had more citrus and grapefruits in it. It was quite more enjoyable. I'm upgrading the taste from 3 to 3.5.

Bottle shows September 2010 so it might have lost a little oomph.
Still waiting for a great la Chouape beer.
A- Can't really see through this muddy orange. Dirty-white, chewy looking head. Thick stringed lacing. Decent head retention.
S-Popped it open and smels kinda icky. Like overripe pomegrenate, but let me pour it. Into my St-Ambroise stemmed glass and the nose has opened up some but is still quite similar. Doesn't smell very hoppy. Rather sour. The smell actually faded with the foam. Hard to pick up anything now. Maybe I should let it warm up a bit.
T- Yeah... I'm disappointed. Not, bad, but I sometimes wonder what's the point of making a harvest ale if there's nothing really special about it. No hop burst, no ''special'' bitterness. You'd probably never know this was a harvest ale if it wasn't on the label. Again, this was bottled sometime in September so maybe all the great stuff is gone. But I doubt, it. If something great was in here, I think there would be at least a hint of it left.
A bit of a dirty green after-taste.
M- I want to say full because the carbonation is so well executed. Crisp throughout, starts tingly, foams up to fill the mouth and ends dry. Only thing is, I think the actual beer is a bit thin.
D- Well... It don't taste too good. Goes down easy though.
I'd drink a few bottles if it was free but donot want to buy it again.
I will only buy it again next year if someone assures me it tastes great or if I see the delivery guy bring it into the store.
Great looking label.
