On-tap at the source itself. Served in a shaker pint, on to the beer:
Looking a bit cloudy in the body, which is to be expected for the style. Its color is brown, with hues getting into the orange spectrum. Dots of lace and okay head retention make marks above the body. The aroma of spiced apple escapes out, and provides hope for the taste.
The hope is realized. It is rather complex, idshing out flavors of gum, cinnamon, apple, fruity esters. There's a brushing of alcohol and snap of seltzery bitterness which is sharp on the palate.
It's not quite on the same level of its lighter colored stablemate, however Black Market's Dunkelweizen is no slouch at all. A few adjustments to its smoothness could really bring this one out.
