Sweet malt greets the tongue and makes itself at home. Lots of sharp flavors. The yeasty Belgian taste is pretty robust. Dark amber in the glass. Lots of hops and the aftertaste is fairly bitter. Woody and slightly astringent. Dark roast flavors meet the big alcohol, and then the hops. Pleasant sharp sweetness, rich and toasty. Thinner body than expected.
