Tastes exactly, and I mean EXACTLY like you brewed a decent Amber ale and then poured in a bottle of cough medicine. I love Good People, but this is one of the worst tasting beers I've ever had in my entire life.

I'm trying this at the brewery near the ballpark. It poured a clear copper with white head that is not leaving a spotty lace. The scent had hints of sweet malt. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's an ok beer.

Not a lot to like about this beer. I don't really think it should be called a winter ale as there is nothing "wintery" about it. Is it an Amber/Red Ale? Felt more like their Brown Ale to me, and the look and taste certainly screamed Brown Ale.
Would be an easy pass for me. The other review that said the finish was pretty bad is spot on.

Pretty basic beer , about like any other entry level craft lager .. A bit more Carmel maybe but that's about it..
This isn't a spiced up seasonal if that's what you are looking for , can't say that part bothers me since I'm not too much into beers that smell like a candle shop anyway.
The smell is almost offputting to be honest , the initial flavor reels you back in ,then, the finish is pretty bad lol.
Something weird lingers in the after taste.. Maybe a odd hop I'm not used to, Idk , its not good tho..
Would not buy again and I like to judge each beer by its self but this brewery overall has never produced a single beer that I thought was good. Truth is the truth.

Poured from 12 oz can
A: Golden honey with smallish one finger head. Short retention and little lacing.
S: Baked brown bread, and hints of caramel. I suppose there should be some amount of holiday spice to the aroma but alas there are none.
T: Crusty bread with subtle sweetness. Not much going on here.
M: Medium to thin body with average carbonation.
O: I’m usually a big fan of GP beers, but this is a miss for me.
