A sour golden ale aged in red wine French oak barrels for 12 months. Fermented and soured with a mixed culture of lactobacillus plantarum, pediococcus and brettanomyces. Secondary fermentation with plums.

Appearance: Pours a somewhat hazy burnt orange color with a robust, one finger head that settles into a blanket; streaks and squiggles of lacing
Smell: Plenty of funk in the aroma with plum jam, oak and vanilla tones
Taste: Funky and sour from the outset, with developing plum tones; oaky and dry, from the mid-palate but the sourness re-emerges in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; plenty puckery
Overall: Not palate scraping sour but this reaches to the edge; I like the funk but would like a bit more fruit here
