A: Pours up almost black, but a very very deep brown with a foamy, thick, three finger head and prominent lacing.
S: Roasty notes come out immediately, with very dry husky notes following, almost like sunflower seeds, there's also a subtle tartness and understated hints of cherry. Little bit of fresh cracked black pepper as the beer sits.
T: Flavor moves quickly across the tongue, almost instantly to the slightly bitter finish. Roasted malt of course, a slight tartness,
M: a little more effervescent than smooth but only a little, not quite a medium body but not quite light.
O: Not the best Dark Lager I've ever had but a solid and enjoyable one. Worth a buy if you encounter it and like the style.

On tap at Up Down in Nashville, TN.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells fairly chocolatey, with some nice roasty notes.
This has a really nice soft chocolatey sweetness to it – it’s a simple build on the palate, but it’s certainly enjoyable. There’s some roasty bitterness, but it’s mostly chocolate here.
This is fairly crisp, and very drinkable, with a smooth finish.
This is a fairly pleasant take on one of my favorite styles.
