Had on tap at the tasting room. Lots of brandy caramel and alcohol on the nose. Very syrupy sweet with a vinegar backing. Difficult to finish the beer.

On tap at in the tasting room the other day. The beer pours a cloudy, orange brown color with light lacing and minimal head retention. This looks like a beer that has seen some considerable barrel aging. On the nose, the cherry brandy is very noticeable, but it didn't seem to blend in all that well with the base beer. It tended to give the beer a huge vinegar aroma, which was replicated on the palate. At least for me, it made drinking this beer very slow going, as the vinegar seemed to wear on me more and more, as I went along. Alcohol is fairly well integrated into the flavor profile I guess, but frankly, it was a bit hard to pick up anything other than the intense vinegar, coupled with the underlying cherry brandy.

Maybe this will be a hit with sour lovers, but at least for me, this is just not my cup of tea. It was an interesting beer to sample, but I just can't handle this level of vinegar aroma and flavor.

Hard to quantify. It's pure vinegar on the nose. Like, dyeing Easter eggs. Taste is sour as hell.. A lot of cherry and oaky flavors. It would be a chore to get through an entire glass. I like it, but I don't.
