look: 3.75 | smell: 3 | taste: 3 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.25
A: Copper with a decent, white head of moderate retention.
S: Diacetyl is the dominant aroma, with some grainy cereal malt and mild pine hops underneath.
T: Somewhat nondescript up front, but then malty sweetness kicks in that is almost on par with a malt-forward DIPA, before an EVENTUAL drying pine-resin that kicks in several seconds post-swallow. It tastes, essentially, like they tried to cover up the excessive malt base with too much hops for the backbone and made a mess in the process.
M: Medium body and just slight of medium carbonation.
O: Fine, and the diacetyl is better hidden on the palate than the nose, but not something I'd have again given options.
