Located where the Gordon Biersch used to be, in the Century Cinema Center.
It's built as a replica lodge, lots of rustic woods, paintings of dogs and the out doors. Not too many tvs, but a good separation of space. As well, an out door seating area, complete with a fire pit.
Beer selection is ok, while not super diverse, they have enough to make most people happy. Food selection is really good, pizza, burgers, fish, steak, pasta, and plenty of mixed drinks.
Taste of the food is good. Tried the ahi burger, really good. The wife had a marguerita pizza, great taste, if not traditional.
Our waiter was waiting for us when we arrived at the table, all the food and drinks.came quick, and correct.
Prices are average, so that makes for a pretty good value.
Overall, I will definitely come again.

I work in the area and have been here numerous times since it opened and never had a bad experience.
The bartenders are cool but the beer selection isn't off the chart. They have their home brews and usually an IPA and couple seasonals on tap.
The food covers all the bases from stir fry to pastas to meatloaf. The stir fry is pretty damn good with a couple of different sauces to choose from.
A great place to sit at the bar during luch and watch a game, drink a pint (or 20oz) , and get your grub on.

I just went this location with my friend Drake a few days ago and have also been the Torrance location a few times now, I think there is three of them total, these restaurants have something to do with Mimi's Cafe chain I think, the place is pretty cool inside and wide open, very modern and clean with a big bar area, they also have a cool patio, more similar to a Cheesecake Factory than anything else I can think of just plus the beer aspect, service is great every time I go and food gets out fast, this place has five of their own brews that are made for them by Bayhawk Ales in Irvine, and I heard rumors that Firestone makes a few of them as well, when I was there they had their pale, blonde, amber, hefeweizen, and one I cannot remember right now, also on tap was Fat Tire, Spaten, Arrogant Bastard, Stone IPA, Firestone Double Barrel Ale, and a few other craft brews, their food is really good too and they have some oddball things on there, chicken sandwich is my favorite, salads are very good as well, also tasty french fries, it is fairly priced as well, I am sure I will eat here again soon, I go for the food and not the beer, but if you want a good meal with some decent beer, then it is worth checking out

I've been to Lazy Dog half a dozen times since they opened. They have branded beers and a handful of other micros/imports. Each time I have been they had a Lagunitas worth a try.
Lazy Dog serves an inexspensive large size (22 oz?), which is nice.
The food is decent. The menu has everything from stir fry bowls to burritos to jerk chicken.
The best thing about Lazy Dog is the ability to sit out side on the patio furniture. The patio is considered part of the bar, so if there is a long wait, just plant your a$$ somewhere out in the patio and some server will eventually find you.
Too much of a wait and no patio seats? Walk to the Auld Irisher 50 feet away and enjoy a pint of Guiness/Boddingtons/Smithwicks while you wait.

Why does it seem all the beer bars in Orange are located on the west side of town while the beer stores are located in the east? To add to the contrast is Lazy Dog Cafe, which is part of an entertainment complex only a couple blocks east of the Honda Center. Lazy Dog is an interesting resto bar; they have good food, a good beer selection, and an outdoor patio with a firepit you can sit by. The service has been good every time I've been there, including the speed of the food order I have placed.
The beer selection can be divided into two sections: house brews and outside brews. Lazy Dog features five "house brews", which are contract brewed by Bayhawk Ales and Firestone Walker. The house beers offered are Pale Ale, Amber Ale, Porter, Honey Blonde, and Hefeweizen. I've tried each one and I prefer the pale ale. As for outside brews, offered on-tap are Arrogant Bastard, Stone IPA, Lagunitas Pils, Spaten Lager, Pabst, Firestone Double Barrel, and Skinny Dip (taking the place of Fat Tre for the time being). There is some rotation among the tap selection. Draft beers are sold in 16 ounce and 22 ounce sizes. They sell beer by the bottle too, where Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Chimay Grande Réserve highlight the stage of mostly macros.
Attending a sporting event at the Honda Center or Angels Stadium and want a good place to drink at after the event? Come by Lazy Dog Cafe and grab a pint!
