On tap at Dog Pub, Columbia, MD on 8/22/09.
A - Transparent pale yellow body with moderate carbonation and a half inch creamy bright white head that reduced to a thin film and left even spots of lace around the mug.
S - Initial aroma is predominantly peach, though it's more reminiscent of canned, syrupy peaches rather than fresh-off-the-tree peaches. Sweet and malty with a muted hop presence.
T - Peach carries across to the flavor, but again I get more of a canned peach instead of fresh peaches. However, it's still pleasant. Caramel malt and light toasted grains enter the fold, then finishes with bready notes and a mild chemical character. Some buttery notes also emerge, but the peach presence covers most of it up.
M - Light bodied yet syrupy with lively carbonation resulting in lots of prickle on the tongue. Finishes sweet with very little bitterness on the palate.
D - Not bad overall. This light ale was pretty pleasant overall, although it didn't quench my thirst as I was hoping it would. I didn't even realize this place was a brewpub.
