Quart swing top bottle into a pint glass.
Pours an absolute crystal clear gold, with a finger of foamy brite-white head. Thin fizzy retention (which eventually goes totally still) leaves just the lightest smattering of lacing back. The aroma smells of buttered toast and fruity character, with some grassy hop tones to it. I'm a bit surprised, by the nice moderate fullness here to the nose.
Unfortunately, this fullness doesn't extend to the taste, with just some light graininess and sweet fruity character making up the majority of this. The only real highlight is some firm hop bitterness which runs throughout, leaving some lingering soft dryness on the lips. The mouthfeel is lighter bodied, with an all around mellow easiness in the mouth to help with the drinkibility. The hop presence adds just enough crispness to the body however, to help keep this on the firmer side.
OK Blonede Ale, with a decent bouquet and body on it. Too bad that the taste just couldn't keep up. Still fairly refreshing and easy drinking.
