Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a dark golden amber color with a thin white foamy head that fell off pretty quick. Not much lace. The aroma had some grassy and earthy hops up front playing with a slight biscuit to caramel malts in the background. Some toast with some light cereal notes. The flavor had that malty dryness throwing off the aftertaste a little bit. The finish was brisk with a slight herbal quality about it. The feel was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Light carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, as an ESB it works for me. I could go at again preferably with some fish n’ chips.

From a growler acquired at the pub and sampled on June 7, 2009. The going approval rate is a C+? Hmm, I think it is a little better than that.
It pours a clear amber-red with neat little carbonation bubbles clinging to the side of the glass and almost no upward mobility. A short-lived beige head. It has the aroma of malts mainly and bread. The mouthfeel feels solid enough...a bit better than medium. The taste is a nice balance of bitterness and caramel and a decent dry, hoppy finish. Maybe a bit more hoppy than I prefer for an ESB but still a nice brew.

This brew pours a clear copper color with no head or lace what so ever. Mild hop aroma as I smell this brew but the hop flavor is strong. This beer is very watered down like. to much water in the brew, seems like all the beers were like this. The brewer seems to be trying to get more out of his wort. This was not an over bitter beer not even that hoppy. but maybe I caught it on a bad day.
Cheers
