Had on-tap at the Lockdown Brewing Co. in Folsom, CA
Appearance - A clear, deep brown with a reddish hue served with an off-white half finger head. Fair retention. Spotty lacing.
Smell - Earthy, metallic aroma.
Taste - Follows the nose. Earthy, faint cacao bitterness. Ghostly caramel. Very subtle pine hop notes. Metallic, coppery finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium body with lively carbonation. Smooth. Semi-dry finish.
Overall - One of the more earthy reds I've come across. Slight bitterness throughout the flavor profile. Good, drinkable brew, but nothing that will leave a lasting impression.

Appearance: Poured a cloudy dirty brown. Barely any head, just a thin layer on top. No visible carbonation. Kind of lifeless. Some lacing?
Smell: Smells sweet and cider-like on the first smell. Also, there is a balsam fire smell as well…like a candle. Flowery esters and herbal hops, but mild.
Taste: Not a strong taste at all, with very vague flavors. Sour earthy malts, but a little dark. Some sweetness, but not much.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, but no bite at all. Lifeless.
Drinkability: Not a very good beer at all, and definitely not much of a red ale/ESB. It looks and feels lifeless, with an odd smell and an indescript taste.
Buy Again? No
