As others have noted, this is probably more akin to a pale ale or something than a Mexican Lager - like what - Sol?
Nevertheless it went great with tacos at Red Rocks and I'm sure the view and music helped my impression of it Couldn't pick it out of a lineup, but there was nothing wrong with it. Washed down food successfully.

First thing first- this is absolutely NOT a Mexican style lager. The can says IBU of 20, but the bitterness from the can is significantly higher, in the 30-40 range. This is more akin to a pale ale than a Mexican Lager.
Hoppiness is there, by far the most noticable flavor in the profile. No discernable maltiness. Beer is sharp, not smooth, with a front loaded profile and an ever so slight lingering tang.
If I were to rate this as a Mexican lager- I'd put it at a 1/5 or lower. No maltiness or sweetness that is characteristic of Mexican lager. If I were to rate it as a pale ale- 2.5-2.75. Not terrible, just nothing noteworthy to ever make me want to drink a second one.

This is a good hoppy tasting beer that is smooth and pleasant to consume. IBU from the label is 20 and indicated as very low on bitterness, but I felt that it was higher. Note that the label says 6.0% ALC/VOL but BA says 4.9%. Which is correct? 24oz can is a bit large but this can taste good even if allowed to warm a bit. It is labeled as a "Mexican-Style Lager" which needs clarification. It appears to be marketed towards the Red Rocks audience crowd in Colorado only. That would be a shame. ?Marketing Hype? ...for shame. It says that there are no adjuncts, just barley malt, yeast, hops and water, but contains sulfites. Any explanation? It is clearly labeled "Colorado Native Cerveza" but not "Nativa". Are these 2 different recipes?

Alright beer. Nothing special I guess. No strong flavor but some kind of slightly unpleasant note in there.

Somehow this manages to be terrible at the Mexican lager style. Idk you can't ask for much but in a style so simple there's no room to hide either. This ain't it chief.
