Golden hued, light bodied Belgian Saison with fruity esters and subtle earthy aromas from the addition of Juniper. Around a pound of hand picked Oregon Juniper Berries were crushed and added to the boil. Fun fact: they're the same ones Bend Distillery uses in their Gin!

Crowler picked up at PreFunk Boise... Pours clear light golden with a short lived white head... no lacing or cap.. Still it looks like it has the appropriate carbonation. Bready with a little clove and perhaps some orange esters.. Juniper is soft in the nose and the palate... This would work well in a turkey brine, but that would be sacrilegious... Pretty well made saison. I dig it.

On tap at Payette. Nice juniper aroma, piney, soft, hazy, golden body, skin of a head. Taste blends the normal Saison elements with the woodsy juniper berries, mildly astringent finish.
