Thanks to Gmr75 for the IP trade at NHC in Grand Rapids, great guy.

Growler filled Jun 07, 2014

A: Golden yellow color verging on candy orange. The foam poured bright white, fine bubbles with larger soapy looking bubbles on top. The finger tall head sustained for about 40 seconds before receding. Murky and hazy looking, can barely see a hand on the other side of a teku glass.

S: Huge, huge hop aroma. Dank pine, over ripe pineapple, lifesavers candy. Lesser detected but equally as bright are the spicey, grassy aromas. No alcohol. Also not detecting anything that resembles a malt aroma or fermentation character. Its all about the new hop varieties in this beast.

T: A brilliant and bright hop flavor from beginning to end in this beer. Juicy mangos and sweet pineapple flavors come off very round and crisp but moderate bitterness. Some darker, danker grassy hop flavors come through as it warms up in lower intensity followed by a subdued pine character holds it all together. The malt character is a side note but an important factor, it comes off like very lightly toasted bread. Wonderful on all accounts.

M: A dry finish with a nice medium level of carbonation. The finish almost feels like there are hop particles sliding down your throat as it is being consumed. No alcohol warmth and a very crisp finish.

O: Top tier IPA by all measures, Extreme late hopping (i wonder if its WP only??) gives this beer a huge hop aroma and flavor. New juicy, tropical hop varieties and a perfect level of balance make this extremely drinkable. I would have never guessed this was an 8.2% beer. I'm happy to have enjoyed this fine liquid.
