cool to get to drink some new ones from lawsons lately, i know their beer rules, but i have not been aware of much new stuff recently, so this was a fun one to find on tap. an apparently unfiltered ipa, easy drinking as they go, definitely not a big starchy hazy, and with only middle of the road bitterness but a great hop profile, real fresh, and for how seemingly simple this is, it is a good reminder of why lawsons is one of the best, this is so refined and intentional, these guys can make ipa that stands out without them all being enormous, forced, and intense, this is a drinker and i like it a lot. clean citrus on the nose, meyer lemon and pink grapefruit, with light spruce or juniper herbal character, a whisper or lemon verbena and white tea, and some oily dankness on top of a pale cereal grain base thats well out of the way but not irrelevant in the least, some wheat likely, good mineral profile too, and a light nutty vibe overall, nice balance and again, super fresh. the flavor has a little white grape thing up front, uniquely fruity but also kind of soft spoken, like its about to crank up but never really does, still robustly hoppy, but i think restrained compared to what is trendy right now, and i like the bitterness thats here starting a little early, it keeps this crisp and snappy the whole way. there is a juiciness to it, but it also has a woodsy pine vibe, and overall i think dips a toe in a few different hop ranges, all while being real cohesive. i like the grain support, i like the dryness, and overall this was an easy and enjoyable pint. love to see the innovation from lawsons!

Clear amber with a tall off-white head of level foam.
It's frothy, crisp, and spicy of evergreen while accented by light tropics and a touch of buttered cracker.
As opposed to Hazy Rays, there are no broken promises with this one.

16 ounce can packaged on the 1st of August, 2023.
Part of the "Good Brews for a Cause" project.
Moderate pour yields a 5/4 inch white head over nearly bright, golden body with nice lacing.
Nose of citrus, tropical fruit, and dankness.
Taste of grapefruit upfront with flavors of currants, and others (berries, slight tropicals.)
A citrus pith bitterness is apparent from beginning right through the slightly dank, pine finish.
Feel is fairly full with medium carbonation.
Overall, a delicious and solid American IPA brewed for a great cause!
Come and get it!!
Cheers!!!

On tap at the scene of the crime.
Nice looking pale golden yellow color. Fluffy bright white cap, 1f. Wide rings of lacing.
Pleasant soft aromas. Pine, grapefruit, citrus rind, leafy greens, and a touch dank.
Odd flavor mix of fruits. It’s kind of gummy. Cherry and berry kill the citrus.
Medium body, hoppy, lingering unpleasant aftertaste.
Unfortunately, the look and aroma were lost moving forward.

Can. Beautiful CLEAR gold with lasting small head and lace. Citrus and slight spice and floral aroma. Light sweetness with some apricot and cereal grain with medium light citrus dry bitterness and then some more grains and some herb. Medium light body and lively carbo to accentuate hops without being fizzy like most NE IPAs. NAILED IT.
