On tap at NotF poured into a sampling glass, reviewed from notes.

This was a highlight of NotF, poured a hazy amber/yellow with a small white head. Nose was an awesome combination of both fruity hops and funky wild bret.

This is one of the most unique IPAs I've ever had, it's similar to a Belgian IPA in flavor but it's got a much funkier Orval kind of flavor from the bret. Fantastic, I could drink this all day.

On tap at the night of the Funk - November 5, 2010. I am quite glad we decided to go for a bunch of this rather than wait in the insane Lost Abbey line. Reviewed from notes. While I might normally have an issue rating from a tasting glass, this beer was so incredibly fragrant I don't know if it made a difference.

Pours a moderate orange color with a pretty good white head plus some minor lacing. The nose is what really hits the spot and the citrus aromas are overwhelming. Beautifully done notes of orange and some lightly-tropical fruits. A bit of floral and earth character as a tiny bit of the Brett is able to sneak its way in.

The flavor is not quite as outstanding as the nose, but is really nice. A moderate funk exists below the hops throughout. Really nice citrus and floral character. Right up there with Super Friends in terms of IPAs with Brett. Feel is crisp, zesty, and pretty bitter. Really fantastic dry finish on a light-to-medium body. Incredible all around. While I didn't enjoy the other two beers Lawson's had that night, this won best of show for me.

I had this beer at the Night of the Funk on November 5, 2010

Poured from the tap into a tasting glass.

The color is a bright orange with a foamy white head with some slight lacing.

The smell is a really citrus hoppy flavor and is really crisp. There is a strong floral presence that smells a bit like cannabis. Some slight lemon flavor and some grapefruit pop in the nose.

The taste is different that the nose and is a bit sour and somewhat malty. There is a hop flavor but the slight sourness seems to turn down the volume of the citrus but keeps some floral flavors.

The feel of this beer is pretty even and medium bodied. It goes down well and leaves a nice slight sour flavor.
