Inspired by collaboration with the freedom to experiment, Freestyle IPA features new school hops that bring a huge passion fruit nose and flavors of melon and citrus. A smooth bitterness takes your taste buds back to the West Coast IPAs that started it all.

Reviewing from memory, have had this brew a few times. My twenty sixth brew reviewed from these guys. This beer is solid. I have not seen recently, may have been discontinued?

Pours a hazy pale yellow. Thick foam. Dank hop aroma. Big earthy hop body. Tropical fruit sweetness with a bitter hop finish. Solid West Coast style IPA.

Canned 8/24/24, so about five weeks old. Let sit out about 20 minutes , @45F, before opening.
Slightly hazy gold, with 1 1/2 fingers of long-lasting white head.
Smell is mostly fresh grapefruit, on the sweeter side of that spectrum, with some hints of lime, (dried) pineapple, pine, guava, and passion fruit.
Taste is grapefruit, pine, passion fruit, with occasional hints of lime zest. Moderate grapefruit pith bitterness, that lingers awhile.
Feel is medium, briefly creamy, followed by moderate , fine, sharp carbonation bite. Slight drying effect after finish.
Overall, a really good one. Easy-drinking, and satisfying.
