Tasting in a snifter at the brewery.
Pours a nice dark copper color with a monimal head.
Strong maple smell.
Overwhelming taste of maple. No strong alcohol taste.

Pours a fizzy foamy 1/2 finger off-white head with moderate retention, soapy lacing, clear auburn to ruby red color
Nose tons of sweet maple up front, candy like, rock candy caramel toffee like as well, lots of barrel as well, vanilla buttery oak and juicy whiskey, little butterscotch, toasted grains
Taste brings more of the same, some butterscotch, maple candy, maple syrup, caramel and toffee, little biscuity toasted malt, toasted buttery oak barrel again as well as some sweet bourbon, a bit of a red candied plum like fruit, a little spicy hop bitterness, semi sweet sticky finish
Mouth is fuller bod, syrupy, med to a bit lower carb, not much alcohol either
Overall better than I expected, the last couple of the maple barrel beers in this series were super sweet and undrinkable but this was more balanced and had some nice barrel notes
