A one off beer from Cigar City for one of their Growler Tuesday releases.

I love a good peanut butter beer, this one managed to get a lot of the peanut butter flavor in it with the interesting nutty taste of granola. It was a little undercarbonated but I think that helps bring forth the PB taste. The nose was outstanding! Really strong PB nut characteristics.

Wasn't sure how it would taste as it was growler only, but it really delivered a great peanut butter flavor followed by a granola background, like I was eating one if my kids Nature Valley peanut butter granola bar, outstanding! The body was a little thinner than I would have liked, but I'm sure it was the Maduro Brown Ale base with the treatment. Other than Funky Buddha No Crusts (which has the jelly component) and Willoughby PB Porter (which has a thicker mouthfeel) this one was up there with one of the best PB treatments I've had. Short's Über Goober and Big Gruesome weren't nearly as good IMO.
