Love hanging out at this brewery. They always have a great draft selection, and even pour bottles of Hunahpu's from time to time. There's plenty of room and two bars.

Cool feeling inside with a lively crowd of people. Had a nice selection of their beers and for the most part has friendly staff.
The tour is a must and I personally had a great tour guide. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates beer. Cigar City definitely knows what they are doing. The gift shop on site has a nice selection of gear with fair prices. Have fun!

We did the brewery tour on a Sunday. Staff was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
Excellent beers...I mostly stuck with the Jai Alai (excellent). We were hoping to get the White Oak Barrell Aged Jai Alai but they were out at the brewery. We later found some locally at Whole Foods and it did not disappoint.
Great Vibe. There was always a good crowd but lines moved quickly. Great food trucks; Highly recommended.

Tons of beers on tap at the bar and in the Brewery itself inside. Great selection of merchandise as well like tons of t-shirts, hats, stickers, just about anything you would want. There were also 3 full coolers of beer for purchase in case you did bring or didn't want to purchase a growler for the tap selections. I purchased 3 bombers of beers I had not seen before, a t-shirt and a sticker for my laptop. Will hit this brewery up again, next time I'm in Tampa.

V: A very chill and relaxed environment, I do wish the building was more interesting but it has the pleasant and inviting feel of a local brewery and that I like
Q: Well I mean it is Cigar City, so yeah
S: The service was good and the staff was friendly, on par with anyone else but not above and beyond, no complaints here
SL: They have a wide selection of beers but not so many that the menu would seem bloated

I recently visited Cigar City Brewing in Tampa. I had had their Jai Alai before and I love it. They have two bars, a smaller one and a larger bar featuring more choices. The smaller bar had fewer choices but you could sit there while ordering from the other bar. I chose to sit by the smaller bar because the other bar was too crowded and there were no seats available. They had a lot of selections. I didn’t count but I would say a few dozen. I had Jai Alai (of course), Space Pope IPA, and the Cognac Oak Barrel Aged Raspberry Halo Imperial Stout. The Cognac Oak Barrel Aged Raspberry Halo Imperial Stout was an incredible stout, perhaps the best stout I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Like at so many other breweries you get your food from food trucks. When I visited, they had a Taco Truck. I was told that the Taco Truck is what they usually have. Unfortunately, they ran out of Tacos at about seven thirty. They went to get more and I bought some Tacos when they came back. I was lucky. I got the last Tacos before they ran out again. The Tacos were good, but perhaps the Taco operation could improve a bit. That’s not the breweries fault though. Overall I think it was a very nice brewery with a good atmosphere.

Nice setup. Front and back bat each cater to a slightly different age bracket and level of love for craft beer. Worth the trip from Pinellas county.

Pit stop in Tampa from Orlando and boy was it worth it. There are two tasting rooms with different selections in each (cans to go and merch in the front). Insane number of beers on draft plus bottle pours of Huna 2014!!!! Highlight was Caffe Americano.

Great vibe! Two nice bars with plenty of seating in the tasting room area. Excellent quality and service. Prices are very fair and their beers are very good to outstanding. Service was good all around - staff was friendly and the tour guide, Jensen, was excellent. If you get his tour, you won't be disappointed. Great selection of their beers in the coolers. All the main lineup is there along with plenty of rotating and one offs. The website is kept up to date with what is on tap and whats in the to go cooler. Just a great place all around.

I was here 2 Saturdays in a row, and the atmosphere was great each time. There is a bar toward the front where you can get growler and crowler fills, and a larger bar toward the back with a bigger draft list. The merchandise selection is great and there are cold bottles and cans to go just inside the door.

My biggest knock would be the cigar offerings. The only ones for sale are local made, which of the 2 I had, ranged from terrible to ok. I know it is a brewery, but, you know... the whole name thing. I nicer humidor, selection, and maybe lounge area (unless I missed it) would be nice. A must visit in FL. Love the speigeleu glasses for pours!

Had a great time here doing flights of many beers. The quality here is unbeatable. Talked to the guy selling handmade cigars for a while that tossed in an extra cigar for me. We were very hurried as we had our three kids with us. Place was packed, but still got to our beers quickly. Neighborhood feeling still.

First question: Why do a review of a place like Cigar City, which all BAs have on their bucket list? Answer: because sometimes you can get your hopes up and be disappointed. So here's my review:

My brother and I visited on a weekday at the end of May, 2016. Arrived at the Tap Room not long after opening. As we walked in, the staff was loading the cooler with Oak Aged Jai Alai that had been canned the day before. I raised my hands and shouted, "Yes! Yes!" What great luck that was! We took 4 fourpacks back home with us. So delicious.

At the bar, there were 20 beers on tap, covering a range of options. It's a great vibe, very knowledgable staff. We got a pour from the 2014 bottle of Huna--very cool, although the beer is better fresh, in my opinion.

Yes, CC has to be on your bucket list. You might get lucky like we did, or you might not, but it's still a must-visit if you are in Tampa.

This is stop #3 of 14 brewpubs for my wife and I on this one week vacation and pub crawl. This place has to be a must-visit by any beer geek who travels to the Tampa area. We arrived in time to join a brewery tour, which meant that we got to drink 4 samplers at different stages of the tour. (An $8 fee and you get to keep the 4 oz. Logo snifter.)

We lucked out after the tour when we went into the tap room to try a few other beers. They were pouring 5 oz. Portions of 2014 Hunaphu from bottles, and this has been one beer on my bucket list to try someday. WOW! Best beer that I've ever had the opportunity to drink! We also tried the White Oak Jai Alai which I didn't like as much as the regular Jai Alai, but it was still a very good beer.

The vibe in this tap room is special, and to get to take a tour caused this to be a special day. I'll say it again, this place has to be a must-visit by any beer geek who is anywhere nearby to Tampa. It is worth the visit.

Had a great time visiting this brewery. Not too far off the beaten path, my wife and I started with a flight of 4 "irregulars" that included 1.) a Strawberry Cream IPA, 2.) Cask Vanilla Maduro 3.) Jai Alai White oak and 4.)Revenge of Mr. Saison. All different and all great in their own way. My wife had 4 of her own, in which the Cubano Espresso was her fav. After the tasting, we took the tour and got to see where the magic is made. I recommend taking this tour as our guide was very informative of the beer making process as well as the history of the area, in which they have named a few of their beers after (Jai alai -the sport, and Maduro- Tampa use to be the cigar maker capital). Plus, you get to taste test their #1 seller fresh off the production line, as well as access to the White Oak 4 packs....hmmmm.

Seems to just be constantly busy. Selection of beers all fresh and delicious. Had everything you look for in brew pub bar but maybe could use a few waitresses patrolling.

Landed in the area after Huna day. Fridge had a good selection of other stuff. Tap list was ho hum but ok.
Guy working the bottles/growlers to-go counter was a total d-bag. Could not stand this turd. Left me hanging with my thumb up my ass while he chit chatted with two dudes that arrived at the spot AFTER me and who weren't buying any beer. However, my bartender when I went for tasters at the inside bar area was fantastic. Super friendly and talkative. Overall, for a tasting room it was ok. Sort of stale even if a bit busy. Even the vibe at Founders killed this. I would go back if I was close by but I wouldn't go out of my way.

You walk in, see a bar, a decent CCB draft selection, and are surrounded by coolers with CCB cans and bottles that, if you're from out of state, are pretty much impossible to get outside of a trade, and you think, well, this is pretty good.

Then you lean over a little bit, look down the bar through the walkway and realize, there's another bar. You walk to that bar and see an impressive wall o' taps with 3x as many brews on tap as the first room.

CCB has so many damn beer varieties, they wouldn't even have room for guest beers if they wanted to tap them. And almost all of those styles are well done, and a number of them are unique and/or rare. While we were there, they had a sour brewed with skittles, a de Molen collab, 110k DIPA nearing the end of it's run, Florida Man had just been kegged and tapped, and the omg delicious Cubano Espresso, among many many others. Those were just the big time killer standouts for us at the time. It seems the locals really lean towards sours, which is great, but there is so much else going on it's hard to decide.

There appears to normally be a food truck available outside, and with the huge space they have outside, and the picnic tables open for seating, there's plenty of room for anything anywhere, even on Huna weekend.

On top of all this, there are cigars available for purchase.

Lots of great beer but beware they don't offer beer to go unless you bring your own glass growler or buy one of their $50 insulated growlers. Crowler machine=broken. Other than that they have cans for sale of the same stuff you find in grocery stores and a cooler with a couple of different bottles.

The place is set up kind of confusing. There are 2 bars. I think the one up front is for growlers fills (LOL) and tasting. The one out back is larger and no growler fills. Some beers are the same at both bars, no idea if you could get growler fills of whatever is at other bar.

There was also a guy who was sitting at a podium who was no help answering my questions. "I'm off the clock".

Pretty much a wasted trip. All that great beer and no way to take any home. Not everyone can sit and drink and drive!

Vibe: The place had a really good vibe with some classic rock playing. They weren't overly crowded for a Sunday morning so we settled right up to the bar.

Quality: The beer quality is great. I had a Big Sound which was delicious as always.

Service: The beer staff was very friendly and attentive. The guy who served my wife and I helped my wife choose what to drink since she wasn't sure and he gave great recommendations on other beers.

Selection: They had a strong selection that day so no complaints here.

Had a great time here with a buddy the other day. Went on the tour, which was a great time, and hung out in the tap room. The tour had us try about 5 different beers along the way, all at different stages in the brewing process. Their taproom had great selection as well. I wish I lived closer, I'd be back more often!

To be fair the night I went there they were out of water due to some pipe breaking or something. When we went to the counter and told the tender we were from Michigan on a beer tour he basically gave us the run down of their wares and offered samples of everything he thought we would like. There was a food truck outside that night and the vibe was amazing. There were bathrooms next to where the grain was stored so you got to basically walk through the brewery on your way to the restroom(super cool). Overall I would say this is an amazing brewery absolutely the best brewery I saw in the south and had great service with even better beer! If I lived there, I would be a regular.

I love a lot of CCB beers and spend a lot $...my only complaints is that their space is horrible. It's a warehouse with orange walls and no character. Not a place to enjoy the space or scenery or take the wife.
The selection is often poor with the regulars and some variants of the regulars. Lately they have been improving the draft selections...still don't know why things like Zhukov aren't on all year round.

The Mecca of craft brewing in Florida, a place I have been wanting to visit for quite sometime. The opportunity presented itself today and I jumped at it. Sadly, however, I walked away with mixed feelings.

The is no question as to the quality of their beer as they are considered master crafters in FL, or their selection, by far some of the widest ranging I have seen in any taproom. The vibe was pretty good as they have two separate rooms that allow the customer to choose from a more dimly lit, dare I say romantic atmosphere, to a brighter, lighter half that takes the beer goggles out of the equation. What disappointed me was the service - absolutely horrible. I stood around for a good 10-minutes before one of the two bartenders got around to me. Mind you, two bartenders on a beautiful Saturday afternoon - two! They've got to know better than that, and during the holidays no less.

I guess I'll have to come back on a weekday or some hum-drum weekend when it isn't so busy. (At least they sell sixers - a big plus - so I was able to walk with something more than the one taste that I got...
