Maple Cupcake

Part of a flight at the brewpub today. Pours nearly black like a stout with a nice and creamy mocha head. Aroma is very sweet maple, chocolate, hazelnut, coffee, brown sugar. Flavor follows with vanilla hazelnut and maple, a bit of chocolate, some light coffee, and insanely sweet. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. This was way sweet but fun in a 3 ounce pour. No need for any more than that.

 

 

I'm guessing that this beer was released before and it wasn't all that great. I have to tell you that I had the Maple Cupcake at the Halfway There Beerfest on Saturday Sept. 6 2014 and it was the best tasting beer at the event! It was thick and chewy with a great amount of sweetness with the perfect kiss of maple syrup flavor to it, it was Incredibly good.

I'm not always a fan of the strain of yeast used in some of the Brewpubs beers so I was a little hesitant as to how it would taste but if you get a chance to try the new batch of this beer, do yourself a factor and get some!
