12oz can dated 02/12/18 poured into a becher has an orange tinged amber body and supports a 2in head of fluffy dirty white bubbles leaving voluminous lacing from rim to floor.
Aroma is citrus and pineapple forward with white bread.
Flavors lean more resiney, grassy, and dank with hints of pineapple, grapefruit rind, pine, lime zest, and the dryness seems funky finishing with a grassy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel leans heavy but medium and dry.
Overall a nice refreshing beer for virtually any food but especially grilled or baked fish.

In a blind taste off with friends (We do this whenever we get together), this was the winner.
a) Pours a pale gold haze-filled, with lasting and lacing white head,.
s) Offers abundant citrus, herb, berry and tropical fruit plus honey and nuts.
t) Citra leaning toward tangerine, with some lemon and mango then transitioning to a honey and nut white toast accompanied by green tea, hemp, grass, and sassafras.
f) Medium bodied. Cleans up in a bright (we all used that word), lively, dry cleansing finish.

Form and function is alive and well in all types of design. From clothing to beer, this balance is alive and well with the Cigar City beer makers when making a stylish hop taste that layers beautifully on a crisp, clean, sturdy malt base. It's a comfort in balance that simply fits like a old shirt.
Pale gold and masked in a slight haze, the Citra hop infused Guayabara radiates with the perfume of citrus, herb, berry and tropical fruit to captivate the nose and to draw in the senses. Gentle malt sweetness rolls onto the tastebuds with the lightness of honey, caramel and cashew.
And as the hops unfold on the middle palate, the full effect of Citra is tasted. Tangerine, lemon, currant and mango bring that citrus and tropical fruit character to the tastebuds. With the malt reducing to a simmer on the palate, the hops trend bitter to balance the receding malt and eventually taking slight control with a late palate of green tea, hemp, fresh grass clippings and fragrant sassafras.
Medium bodied but trending light and dry, the beer leads to a light IPA taste and texture, except for a relaxed overall bitter impact on the finish. A medium length aftertaste of citronella and orange peel come with a mild gin-like spice for a taste and texture that's easy, drinkable, refreshing and highly quaffable.

Pours a chill hazed amber with 2 fingers of eggshell colored head. Stellar head retention and lacing
S: Slight citrus and breadyness
T: orange peel, dryness, grassyness, up front. Grassyness, dryness, a little guava as this warms. Finishes, dry, breadyness with citrus and tropical
MF: Medium body, pretty firm carbonation, alright balance
Expected way more from this. This is worth a try

I can't believe this beer was added over a year and a half ago, but I am the first to review it. Poured from a 12 oz. can. And yes, that can came courtesy of the mighty woodychandler. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, light pine. Taste is dank, resin, very bitter, I sure didn't see that coming based on the aroma. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a good beer.
