Appearance: Arrives with a mahogany color and a decent head for anything other than a Belgian style; a few strands of lacing hang around
Smell: Dried dark fruit (fig and date) with chocolate undertones
Taste: Caramel, fig and date flavors, up front, with subtle chocolate tones developing underneath; spicy yeast adds another dimension, in the middle; the finish is reminiscent of Dr. Pepper without the overwhelming sweetness
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A decent stab at a Belgian Brown with a very authentic yeast character but the carbonation and mouthfeel is a bit off
