Pours a hazy golden orange color with tangerine hues and a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into a thin, lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.

Sweet citrus aroma with a subtle malt backbone and zesty spices. Ginger coriander orange zest along with candied orange peel countered by biscuit caramel sweetness.

Medium body and zesty with tart citrus sweetness lingering throughout. Spicier than the nose suggest with hints of coriander, ginger and allspice countering pithy bloody orange candied citrus slices. Well balanced, refreshing and easy to drink.

their invasion pale ale with oranges and aged with white oak. its a tasty beer, and a nice facelift for a pale ale that could use one, but it didnt come through as cohesive and distinct as i hoped it would. for one, the beer is pretty murky from the tap, and feels heavy on the palate and in the belly despite high carbonation. the aroma is lively with the oranges and the hops coming together in an obvious way, but it still smells somewhat more malty than it needs to, which is to the detriment of its refreshment value. i dont get as much of the white oak as i would like, definitely less than the white oak ipa they do, and it almost seems to thicken and slow this beer without adding a lot of flavor, it might be better without it if drinkability is important. there is a neat earthiness and a definitely vanilla essence though, so its not totally irrelevant. i could see an additional dry hopping taking this to the next level, the hops are lost a little to all else thats going on here, but this sure us a unique beer, even if it is a couple of adjustments away from being amazing. a fun pint to drink over at chuburger in rino, and hopefully indicative of a lot more cool cigar city beers coming to colorado!

On cask in the tasting room
A-hazy brew with a dirty goldenness. Small bubbled white foam with a little staying power.
S-Big time oak on top of an orange like citrus aroma.
T-like the aroma. Oaky and orange
M-light carbonation allows the oak and citrus to jump out. The wood and hops linger on.
O-CCB sure knows how to make a beer oaky. An easy drinking pale ale with tons of flavor. A bit lingering in its bite makes this more of a sipper than a chugger

On tap at Dr. Phillips World of Beer in Orlando. Citrus stands out in both the aroma and the taste. There is a grapefruit in the taste that really blends well with the bitter, which at first seemed a bit to much but then really worked. Excellent pale ale.

"Pale Ale with White Oak and Sweet Orange Peel"
From crowler canned 1/26/16, drank 2/22/16.
Poured a yellowy-amber, not really any head. Smells like lemon-lime soda, a little mango sorbet, grapefruit flesh, hint of pineapple. Taste comes thru like a lime-seltzer, with lime zest and citrus (tangerine-orange-lime) sorbet; touch of biscuit malt on the tail-end rounds it out nicely. Overall, could drink many of this long time. 4.5/5

CCB has perfected the art of making a sweet and hoppy brew. This beer is no exception.

This beer balances the sweet/tart tastes of citrus with a hoppy pale ale, resulting in a wonderful brew for a hot summer. A real standout in the current lineup.
