This was a strange one for me. Very dark pour with little to no head and what was tan there didn't last long. Not much lacing. It pretty much smells just like you'd think a chocolate cake would smell - sweet! There's also a slight scent of wood in the mix. Taste is also on the sweeter side with chocolate coming through along with something else I can't quite figure out. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth. Not a bad beer, not quite what I expected and perhaps not quite my thing but I enjoyed it.

Pours an opaque dark brown almost black like oil color with similar viscosity and khaki colored head. It does smell like chocolate cake, with just a little wood and sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Full bodied, yet smooth. Finishes like a piece of chocolate cake. Nicely done.

Tastes like dark chocolate but not in an overpowering way. The wood flavors comes through afterwards. Not at all too sweet as i expected. Smells like heaven. Looks good with little lacing/head. Mouth feel is not as smooth as the description would leave me expecting but it was fine. This beer is great. An expensive 11.2 ounce bottle. Wish i paid $7 for a bomber but i actually would buy it again. Got it for a special occassion and it delivered. Would recommend to anyone.
