Reviewed from notes. Had on-tap at Cigar City's tasting room. Served in a large snifter glass.
A: Orangish yellow in color. Somewhere between very hazy and pudding-like opaque. A finger's worth of white head, and no real visible carbonation to speak of.
S: Fruity, dry, Sweet Tarts, and orange Creamsicle. Light tartness and lactic character. A touch of funk in there as well.
T: Lactic tartness, a generic fruitiness, and more Sweet Tarts. As it warms up a bit, I get lemon-lime-strawberry-pinapple flavor. It seems rather like a rainbow sherbet. Light cracker malt with just a touch of huskiness. Tart on the finish with lingering fruity flavors.
M: Light body, carbonation sensation on the low side, and no alcohol presence at all.
O: I really enjoyed this one. It wasn't anything over the top or amazing - but I'd look forward to another pour.
Personal Update: When I went to review this one, I discovered this was actually aged on Skittles candy. I was thinking the wrong "Rainbow", and had settled on sherbet instead. Either way, it was good.

Cloudy pastel pink, and if there was a head it was completely gone by the time it went from the tap to the bar top. I'm not sure if other batches have come out completely different, but this was the presentation in March 2016.
Initial impressions were Tang and Sweet Tart. The sourness was lightly lactic, pretty smooth and not mouth puckering.
We had all these impressions before the bartender told us that Rainbow Candy Berliner Weisse is brewed with Skittles, and only put on tap for Halloween or Hunahpu's day.
This was my first sign that sours are far more popular a style than any other in the South, specifically Florida. Apparently, it's a huge deal when this comes out because there were pink orbs floating all around us--snifters of Rainbow in everyone's hand. I'm so happy we got to try this, as it was an enjoyable and unique take on a sour, even though they're maybe taking a bit of a shortcut to get there.

It's cloudy with a slight pink hue. It smells and tastes like Skittles... I mean, c'mon. Perfect carbonation level for the style. Very refreshing on a hot day... or any day, for that matter.
