Popped a bottle of this at Jesse's wedding 2017. Pours black. Brown head, 1/4". Aroma drops all kinds of coconut, bourbon and coffee all over the place, just turn after turn of these.

Chocolate malt, bourbon, coffee and coconut continue to power through, delicious roasted malt tempering it all. Really finds the sweet spot if you will, in that it isn't sweet, it truly is balanced, and not in a people just say that about a triple ipa because that sounds good, I mean the roastiness, the bourbon, the chocolate, the coconut, vanilla it all comes out to really provide a beer being pushed and pulled just the right amount.

They pair an amazingly thick ass imperial stout base and then just blast it through both brandy and bourbon, the bourbon dominates barrel wise, but the brandy seems to lend to some nice warm smoothness counter balancing it all.

Hate to say it, but this is a world class stout and right up there with double barrel hunahpu. Phenomenal.

Poured from a 750mL bottle into a taster.

Aromas are sweet, caramel, dark fruits, a little cardboard, milk chocolate. On the tongue is sweet vanilla-bourbon, caramel, not much coconut, toffee, finishes roasty . Nice thick body with low carbonation.

Wish I got more coconut here. Nice body and good flavor, but was expecting less sweetness and more coconut.

Nice beer. Pours very dark....minimal mocha head. Subtle coconut in the aroma. Taste is similar...subtle coconut. Really expected and wanted more. Feel is average....not too thick, not too thin. Overall, good beer.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 750 mL bottle into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.

A: Very dark brown and completely opaque. You can see how thick this is when you're pouring. Forms a thin tan head that fades fairly quickly, and has only a small amount of visible carbonation.

S: Chocolate and coconut, coffee and bourbon. Oak, caramel and vanilla, with some dry tannins. Sweet malt body with a moderate roasty character. This smells nice, but not the coconut bomb of Last Snow on the nose.

T: Chocolate, coffee, and roasted malts. Bourbon, vanilla, and caramel. Sweet brandy. A modest amount of coconut – not a huge amount here either. Sweet malts with residual oaky brandy and coffee in the hang. Ultimately the chocolatey sweetness persists the longest.

M: A heavy body with a thick sticky mouthfeel. Glass-coating for sure. Low carbonation sensation and the alcohol presence is modest for the style.

O: This was a good beer. I didn't find myself as excited about it as much as some others. I don't get huge coconut, but there is a nice coffee-chocolate-bourbon-brandy balance, and a nice barrel presence. A solid offering for sure.
