Reviewed from (very) long-standing notes. Poured from the 22 oz. bottle into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass. Consumed on 10/10/16; purchased 7/8/16.
A: Dark brown, hazy but quite translucent. Forms a dense but thin off-white head and has low levels of visible carbonation.
S: Pumpkin pie spice, brown malts and cardboard, and some vegetal pumpkin. Rich but not overly sweet. Hints of chocolate and caramel, vanilla and cola.
T: Pumpkin and pie spices - nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice. Chocolate, toasted malts, and a weird tinny flavor. More cardboard and vegetation. A lingering thin and objectionable spicy metallic flavor.
M: A thin body that's borderline over-carbonated. Low alcohol presence.
O: Really not a good beer. I’m not always a fan of pumpkin beers in general, but I've come to appreciate some of the better ones. But this one is way, way not one of those. I don't know if there was something wrong with this particular batch or this particular bottle. But base on this, I’m disappointed that CCB even released this beer, let alone bottled and distributed it. Really…you need to avoid this one.

Poured from a 22 oz bomber, into a Funky Buddha snifter.
Thin off white head that dissolves fast.Dark amber in color, with limited light showing through the glass. No carbonation.
On the nose I get mostly spices, with slight notes of pumpkin backing it up.Very little chocolate, but I am picking some up.It has a bit of a sweet aroma to it.
The palate is the exact opposite, with pumpkin and chocolate in the lead.Slight spice flavors on the back end.
The body is thin, with a pretty smooth finish.
I was skeptical of this one.I'm not typically a fan of pumpkin ale,and this one got some bad reviews. But I really didn't think it was that bad.Maybe it just needed to sit in the bottle for a few months. For me not alot of pumpkin is a good thing. Not something I would pick up again, but not terrible by any means.

Sadly, I'm going to have to side with the majority here. I am in south Florida on vacation, so I wanted to find something brewed in the region to enjoy. I was at Total Wine without my phone, thus access to BA, so I went ahead and took a flyer. Sometimes it's really hard to tell when you're drinking a "bad" beer or just an "odd" beer that missed the mark for you, personally. But, after it's all said and done you still are left respecting the effort. There was no such quandary here.

A little bit on the sweeter side than I expected. You definitely smell and taste the spice. The pumpkin is faint, but there. I didn't get much chocolate flavor though, so that's a bit of a disappointment. The mouthfeel is lighter than expected.
