Tasting Room Exclusive.
Brewed with an American ale yeast and lactobacillus, Mango Grove couples the rich fruitiness of mango puree with lively carbonation and thirst-slaking acidity to create a full-bodied yet approachable American Sour Ale. The acidity of this elegant ale cuts through the savoriness of rich foods and allows it to pair wonderfully with rillettes, whitefish or creamy cheesecake.

Reviewed from (very) long-standing notes. Had on-tap at Cigar City. Served in a Spiegelau IPA glass for some reason.
A: Orange-yellow tinged gold, and quite hazy. The finger's worth of white head fades fairly quickly, despite a good amount of visible carbonation. Honestly, it's close to mango-colored.
S: Lactobacillus-derived tartness and modest funk. Lactic acid bite and a mango-pineapple-orange tropical fruit mosh-mash. Cracker malts but with the unfortunate modest amount of graininess I find typical of CCB's sour efforts.
T: Lactic tartness with mango and orange puree. Citric acid bite. The cracker malt body has just a touch of the grainy character (less than the nose). A mild funk, just enough to let you know there's Lacto in there. Finishes with a lingering tart tropical fruit, and towards the dry side.
M: A light body for this beer. Good carbonation sensation, and low alcohol presence.
O: This has to be one of my favorite beers from the "Grove" series. Easy to drink, good fruit flavor, and not overly grainy. Solid beer.
