Built for the warmer months (of which Florida has plenty), Cigar City Brewing's Golden Ale is brewed with American Willamette hops and pale wheat malt to create a low-alcohol American Golden Ale that balances bread-like malt flavors with herbaceous hops and a vibrant carbonation.

This is just an average-tasting ale; disappointing for this brewery.

A: Slightly hazy golden straw color, large pillowy white head, nice lacing
S: Bread, I get some piney hops in there as well
T: A nice sweetness but has a nice hop bite as well, great balance
M: Light
O: A bit hoppier than I expected but a really good, summertime lighter beer. Will definetly have again maybe after mowing or on the beach.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is kind of floral, some malts are present. Taste is of malts, citrus, very easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a good summertime thirst quencher.

Poured from a freshness dated 12 oz. can: bright and clear golden hue with a sustained, foamy white head.
Refreshing notes of citrus in the aroma.
This one has a very pronounced hop profile for a blonde ale style - fresh orange and mango dominate the flavor with an inviting malt background. Overall, rather complex for a 4.5 % ABV.
Nice, zesty carbonation enhances the light body and fruit accented lingering mouthfeel.
This was a pleasant surprise as I was expecting a refreshing but somewhat bland blond ale, something for the hot weather. This is clearly a step above in quality.

Pours a clear light orange with big fluffy white head, mess of lace sticking. Smell: spicy, floral, honey bread. Taste: bready, apricot, spicy and herbal with sweet orange peel note. Light-plus bodied and quite creamy. Similar color scheme as Hotter than Helles, which was a good beer! This is fine in a 20-years-ago-craft kind of way.

Pours a nice gold with a 1 finger head that quickly disapates. Taste is wheat, lemon and some sweetness. Goes down easy. Very nice, light offering.
