i like this a lot, every bit as the more widely circulated margarita gose, the grapefruit is natural, the salt level is high, the tartness is clean, and the overall execution here is wonderful, it is what it says it is, a beer version of the classic cocktail, i like everything about it and find it extremely drinkable for a sour, not too acidic in that way, more refreshing than anything, yum! this is the essence of modern summer beer, fun but still grounded in tradition, like i have no doubt that this base gose on its own is excellent. clean on the lactic souring, well tamed too, lightly lemony there, and dry, with a high mineral salt profile, fresh wheat malt, and little else, simple but fresh and beautifully proportioned. the grapefruit element is fresh juiced to me, less bitter than grapefruit can often be in beer, and without much additional acidity either, nor is it sweet. its natural and bright and gives nice flavor to this, great with the salt. high carbonation is right on, the body is light but not absent entirely, and overall i thought this was awesome, a definite drinker for a sour beer, not over flavored either, just fantastic for the summer! perhaps my favorite beer from the boat box!

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a very small, short-lived head of foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled strongly of grapefruit, orange zest, some lemon and salt. Tart grapefruit presence with a bit of sweetness. A touch of salt.

Smells of lime and grapefruit. Head hardly lasted long enough to see it, a flash of white. It looks slightly hazy with a golden hue, sour notes of lime and grapefruit, correctly advertised as refreshingly tart with a light body.

nothing special here, decent sour, cloudy amber coloured beer with no head, nice citrus fruit flavours, lemon, lime, passionfruit, quite tart, pretty salty, very sweet, bready, straw, light bodied, bit watery, it’s grand, refreshing i suppose.

A: The beer is a little hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with no head whatsoever on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lime are present in the nose along with hints of grapefruit.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of grapefruit along with notes of lime. There is a light to moderate amount of sourness and a bit of saltiness towards the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I liked the citrusy combination of grapefruit and lime in this gose. It is very easy to drink and has some refreshing qualities.

Lightly hazed yellow/gold appearance, small head, light lacing. First whiff is pineapple followed by grapefruit and other citrus. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated mouthfeel. Dry but fruity finish. If you like the taste more tart than sour then this gose will be appealing.

If beer has commonly been the drink of the working man, then when making one inspired by cocktails, then the cocktail should be the same. And that's the mindset of Cigar City's paloma-inspired sour German-style ale.
Pale gold and cast in a standard wheaten haze, Paloma Gose's racy bubbles tease the nose immediately with a high citrus scent along with a tepid sourdough supporting perfume. With a brief waft of the sea, the initial taste highlights the beer's supple sweetness and its bready twang.
The mild malt support dissolves rapidly on the tongue to deliver a bold grapefruit flavor with complex lime, lemon and cider flavors closely behind. At times acting like a sour spritzer, others as a sangria, and then of a creamy cocktail, the beer's diversity in taste bridges the worlds of cider, white wine, beer and mixology quite well. A late palate of clean yet rounded acidity once again echoes with nuances of sourdough and brine.
Light bodied, crisp, clean and highly refreshing, Paloma Gose is a fan favorite taste that finishes brisk with minor aftertastes of dry burlap and brine. The beer's simplicity makes it effortless however it does beg for greater complexity and depth.

12oz. can into OEC stemware. Shared by schen9303.
Nose is strong citrus, grapefruit, lemon and sugar with a spritzy tartness. Very aromatic and bright. Beer opens tart citrus and grapefruit. Some lemon zest and lime bitterness in the middle with a seltzer tartness at the finish. Good balance. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly on the palate and goes down foamy and aggressive with a clean, slightly lingering finish. Very drinkable.
A great summer beer. Very drinkable with just enough flavor.
