Poured from a 32 oz growler in to a pint glass (growler about 2 weeks old.

Pours a rich black with a very thick tan head.

Smell is a woody, malty, sweet, berry, and some leather. Very complex, but very balanced.

Taste is cedary, roasty, and lightly fruity. The berries aren't too prevalent.

Dry finish makes it very drinkable.

Mouthfeel is nice coming through the thick head.

A very good beer, but not life changing.

Draft at OTH Launch Party. Pours murky red-brown with a nose of malt, hoppy citrus, raspberry, dark berry, and some smoke with sweet malt. Flavor is some band-aid with vanilla, some smoke, lots of berries (and my palate caught the wolfberries as raspberries with pieces of other dark fruit), booze, malt, citrus hops, caramel, and the complexity that seems to be the hallmark of ccb. Superb. I got bits of barleyewine, bits of IPA, and bits of fruit beer all in one. Would love to see this in a vessel I could age it in.

One time release. Seved on draft at Oldsmar Taphouse CCB release party.

A: Pours a brillant amberish ruby red hue with a nice tall off white head. Good retention with some spotty lace left behind.

S: Nice hoppy aromas with notes of citrus, red berries, and sweet caramel malt. There are some real nice earty undertones as well.

T: Fairly earthy. Lots of nice red berry flavor with strong notes of tobacco. Hints of citrus hide beneath along with tons of sweet caramel malt to balance things out.

M: Full in body, rich and smooth.

D: Not bad for the style. More Barleywine than DIPA with lots of uniqueness added by the Gogi berries.
