A very kind trader was nice enough to send me this growler. It didnt fare very well on the trip but about a pint and a bit made it. Served chilled and poured into a pint glass.
Appearance - The pour was dead. No carbonation or head to speak of at all. A deep dark brown color with light hints of reddish undertones maybe peaking through on the bottom.
Aroma - A rich brown ale. Lots of nutty notes, hints of molasses and caramel, deep rich cocoa and a nice touch of coconut coming through especially as it warms. Really very well done here. The coconut seemed to accent it wonderfully and really gave it a nice touch.
Taste - Very rich as well as I take a sip. Sweet with nice rounded notes of molasses and brown sugar. Light touch of bitter hops coming through as well now and a healthy dose of light coconut flavors. One of the biggest flavors on a brown ale I have found in a while.
Feel - Suffering from a lack of carbonation left it feeling a bit flat, however it was still a very full ale. Smooth, creamy feel on this one left a nice buttery taste as it went down.
Drinkability - Nine percent but barely perceptible. I could have easily had more of this one and could see how it could really sneak up on you with some quickness!
Overall very solid. I look forward to getting to try this one again as I feel if it were fresh it would have been outstanding! Still very well done.

A: Pours a nice nutty brown hue with a nice head. Some retention and spotty lace.
S: Basically the same aroma as the regular Bolita brown with subtle notes of coconut.
T: Wonderful roasted malt, brown sugar, and gooey caramel. The coconut comes out more and more as this one warms. Once it got to room temp the coconut was fairly bold on the back end. Tasty stuff. Would like to try it with toasted coconut.
M: Medium in body, solid carbonation.
D: Good, if you like this one watch out for Coco Loco...!!!
