Poured into a snifter glass. Zero carbonation. Bit off putting to think that the barrel speaks for itself. Please carbonate your beer. Pour is deep and dark, did I say zero carbonation. Yes, it's barrel aged, so am I.
Aroma of carob, sweet malts, and some barrel notes. Pleasant yet subdued. Taste follows with sweet malts and a tinge of oak and a touch of cinnamon like spice. Nice on the finish, touch chewy in the malt department as expected. Ever think of carbonation?

A: Opaque midnight black, very very dark brown head. Dissipates fairly quickly, limited lacing. 4.25
S: Huge fudge brownie notes, moderately nutty, very sweet, prominent vanilla, moderate barrel characters with charred oak and a touch of booze. 4.75
T: Taste follows, isn’t as rich, but honestly that might be a good thing as it was massively sweet on the nose , the kind of rich sweetness that doesn’t always translate well for me in the taste. It still has big chocolate notes, both fudge and dark cocoa. Vanilla is moderate at first but builds as it warms. Barrel notes are more prominent than the nose, lots of char, oaky, earthy, almost mild peat like characters, bourbony booze. Roasted malt is prominent, moderate dark fruits which is a bit of a surprise and is nice. Very complex. Bold but not cloying. Exceptional. 4.75
M/D: Full bodied, very rich but the booziness cuts through to prevent it from being cloying. It’s far from the most drinkable but I am still happy to finish it solo. 4.25
O: Really fantastic. I’ve had 5 of the El Cat 13s so far (Three on a Match and Mad Daughter to a Wise Mother, both pending) and it’s easily the best of the five to date. 4.5

Purple-waxed 500ML bottle. And that stupid, stupid, wax. It’s like trying to remove a tick from your armpit.
Dark black. Little to no visible carbonation. The nose is precisely as described on the label.
Wedding Day Chimney Speaker takes a classic style circa 2017 & adds something. Lovely bourbon (which with a spicy edge feels more like rye), sweet vanilla, & a slug of oak that’s both charred & smoky, giving it a unique profile. As it warms the booze really sings. Moderately thick for a current stout, which makes it unusually drinkable.
This tickles my hot spot. Simple yet great. I dig.

Dark brown pour, Minimal off white lacing around the edges of the glass. Pretty heavy booze when cold, Vanilla comes out stronger as it warmed. Some chocolate in there as well. Very nice beer to drink blind. Thanks @scottsbeer
