Couple of 5 ounce tap hits at Cigar City Brewery, served cold, in a wine glass.
I let them warm for 15 minutes.,.
Presents flat black, just a tad of head that was gone in a skinnit.,
Smell is cinnamon and cacao, dark roast malt and dark rum.
Taste surprised me; the cinnamon is balanced within the profile - it’s there, but not up front dominating. Dark cocoa and mild coffee compete in the middle, and the chili is less of a flavor than an accent. Hellish finish of big alcohol and lingering peppers.
Feels dense and oily with a light fizz.
Overall, a true Goliath, a pleasure to sip in CCB’s outtasight tap room.

Lots of dark chocolate, more-so than the previous cali-brandy Huna. Very well balanced and solid beer.
